Armed islamic courts union fighters have begin an armed and regrouping operations in Gedo region south of Somalia.

Some news sources in the region say that the fighters led by some familiar Islamists commanders are rearming and recruiting some new fighters in the region.

These islamists energizing operations have became made known after the fighters and their commander with two armed vehicles have based on the outskirt of Bardhere town the provincial capital of Gedo region.

Some of the commanders have delivered religious speeches to a hundreds of the people in Bardhubo a small town situated far-west of the region.

Some reliable sources told Shabelle English service that the Islamic courts fighters have entered the town from the toll road leading to Gedo from Sakow town direction.

At there arrival occasion they informed to the resident to remain calm pledging that they would merely fight against the Ethiopian troops in some parts of the region.

“ We aren’t leading our region into violence and conflicts but we will battle the hostile Ethiopians” said one commander of the islamic courts fighters arrived in Gedo region.

No comments could be available from the regional administrative officials of Gedo regarding on the arrival of the islamists.
