Explosion in Mogadishu kills Ethiopian soldiers

A remotely-controlled land mine explosion was targeted on Ethiopian troop’s water tanker vehicles that was fleeting close by the former Somali national TV in Towfiq area in Somali capital Mogadishu on Saturday-eyewitnesses said.

Following the explosion a brief gunfire clash between armed groups and the Ethiopian troops has erupted at the explosion site.

Its unknown the causalities of that gunfire.

After the explosion the Ethiopian soldiers have started house-to-house search operations on nearby houses arresting several people.

Also the troops stopped up inhabitant’s activities going on there following the bomb explosion that happened at the central heart road.

With the backing of Ethiopian troops, forces loyal to the interim administration apprehended control from the Islamists at the late of 2006, nevertheless failed to get peace and security in Mogadishu and additional parts of Somalia, as the Ethiopian-Somali government troops appear as render inoperative against the violence spearheaded by armed islamists in Somalia mainly Somali capital Mogadishu.
