Islamist fighters take over control of a town

KISMAYU ( Sh. M. Network ) – the Islamist fighters of Jubba regions under the management of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen have taken over the control of Af-madow town in Lower Jubba region in southern Somalia, just as there is no fighting continuing there in southern Somalia, officials told Shabelle radio on Sunday.

 

High officials of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen confirmed to Shabelle radio and television that the Islamist forces of the Jubba representatives had peacefully captured Af-madow town in Lower Jubba region near the border between Somalia and Kenya adding that the forces took over whole control of the district with out clashes.

 

Reports from the port town of Kismayu say that the Islamist fighters who seized the town had made military bases in the town and it is unclear where the other rival forces went away so far.

 

It was yesterday when heavy fighting between the Islamist fighters of Jubba regions and their rival forces happened in parts of Lower Jubba region and caused more casualties of deaths and injuries which Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen claimed victory over the fighting.

 

There is no comment about the claim of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen from the other side who were fighting against them in southern Somalia.
