MOGADIHU (Sh. M. Network)-Somalia's new interior minister Sheik Abduqadir Ali Omar has been handed officially to the documents of the interior ministry Wednesday by former TFG home minister Muse Nur Amin at a ceremony in the capital, Mogadishu.
The new minister Sheik Abdulqadir Ali Omar who has been the leader of the Islamic Courts Union for the past two years said he would start the job of the ministry immediately.
“A country which has been experiencing insecurity and lawlessness is ahead of us, there are a lot of things to do so we pray to Allah to help us accomplish our job” the new minister said at the handing over ceremony.
Muse Nur Amin, the former TFG interior minister said there are difficult obstacles ahead of the interior ministry and hoped for good future.
The ceremony of handing power was held in the ministry of Information Building in the capital.
Nine ministerial posts were handed to new ministers on Monday in Mogadishu. Wednesday’s handing over of interior ministry power went smoothly and completed successfully.
