MOGDISHU (Sh. M. Network)-At least 8 people were killed Monday in renewed clashes between Al-shabab insurgent group and local militias over the control of Guriel town in central Somalia, witnesses said.
Al-shabab insurgent group attacked an Islamist group known as Ahlu-Suna, who had seized control of Guriel town.
Residents say Ethiopian troops reached Guriel and Al-shabab fighters left the town.
At least five people have been killed in Mogadishu today (Monday) after Ethiopian troops fired shells into Bakaro market in Mogadishu.
On Sunday, at least 22 people were killed in fighting clashes between Al-shabab insurgent group and local militias over the control of towns in central Somalia.
